Biography

I have a Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of La Salle from Bogota Colombia. I worked in Colombia as the director of the animal research for the south are of Colombia South America for a period of 6 years. I have a Master in science from the UMN.
In 1998 I started working with Dr. Osborn as his lab manager and scientist in his lab. My main responsibility was to work on his research doing surgical procedure in rats to stablish and follow the up which the projects and managing his lab.
In 2014 I started organizing the Phenotyping core and when in 2016 Dr Bartolomucci became the Director of the Physiology Core, I become the Core manager.

Research and responsibility in the lab: Manager of the IBP Phenotyping Core.  In the Core I work with Rats or mice in surgical procedures or echocardiograms or helping some PI’s start a protocol. This depend on the needs of the different PI. I work with PI’s from all the campus if they need my help establishing their studies. I have a great experience in a diver’s amount of surgeries in rodents or developing a technique if needed. But I am most responsible in increasing the users of the core in order to be a profit service.
